The data controller for your account, your Paddle billing reference and this site is Sokkel, EURL, RCS Paris 108 362 872, 47 rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, France — contact: [email protected]. For the data of gallery participants (e-mail addresses entered to unlock a gallery, unlock logs, selections, ratings and comments), the studio that publishes the gallery is the controller, and Sokkel processes this data on the studio's behalf as processor.
Account data: studio name, your name, e-mail address and credentials. Billing data: a Paddle customer reference and billed amounts — we store neither your billing address nor your tax number; Paddle, as merchant of record, holds them. Content: the JPEG previews you publish and your selection data (ratings, color tags, comments, annotations). We never receive your RAW files. Gallery access data: for each gallery unlock, the e-mail address entered, the IP address and the date. Technical data: server logs necessary to operate and secure the service, and cookie-free audience statistics. Addresses left for a free tool: when you download a free utility from this site, your e-mail address, the language of the page, your IP address, your browser and the number of downloads. If you tick the optional box, we also keep the exact wording you read and the date you accepted it.
We use this data to provide the service (publish previews, run galleries, synchronise selections with your Capture One session), to manage your subscription, to secure the service and trace gallery access, to answer your support requests, and to measure site audience in aggregate. Legal bases: performance of the contract, our legitimate interest in securing and improving the service, and compliance with legal obligations. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising. The address left for a free tool is used to deliver the download and to let you know when a new version ships: that is our legitimate interest, and every such message carries a way to stop receiving them. If, and only if, you ticked the optional box, it is also used to write to you about Stabble: the basis is then your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by writing to us or by downloading again without ticking the box. The download completes either way.
Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, which collects your payment and billing details directly and issues invoices. Sokkel never sees your card details. Paddle's own privacy policy applies to the data it collects.
The service and its data are hosted by DigitalOcean in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). We also rely on: Cloudflare (DNS, TLS, traffic filtering), Elastic Email via Cloudways (transactional e-mail), Paddle (payments) and Plausible (cookie-free audience measurement). Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, transfers rely on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses.
Previews are retained for the period included in your plan (90, 180 or 365 days), then purged automatically; a gallery archived earlier keeps its previews until that date. Selections, ratings and comments are retained with the gallery. Server backups are made every 12 hours and kept for one week. Account data is retained for as long as your account exists, and is deleted when the account is deleted. Gallery unlock records are attached to the gallery they belong to: they are deleted with it, and with your studio if your account is closed. Addresses left to download a free tool are kept for three years from your last download, then deleted automatically. Consenting to marketing does not extend that period.
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access to production systems is restricted and gallery access is protected by e-mail plus access code, with each unlock logged. Data is hosted in the European Union and backed up regularly.
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection over your personal data, which you can exercise by writing to [email protected]. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in France, the CNIL. If you are a gallery participant, the studio that invited you is the controller of your review data: address your request to the studio, or write to us and we will pass it on and assist.
We use only cookies strictly necessary to operate the service, such as session and authentication cookies. Audience measurement relies on Plausible, which uses no cookies and no cross-site tracking; no consent banner is therefore required. Client galleries are never measured.
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on this page and, where appropriate, by e-mail. The date of the current version appears below.
