Session proofing for studios using Capture One

Never loses sync, wherever you shoot.

Stabble Proof is session-proofing software for photography studios and photographers who shoot with Capture One. Session identity travels with the session — not the Mac that published it. Switch machines, hand over, keep every client selection exactly where you left it.

The Stabble client gallery: a contact sheet of a shoot, three photos side by side for comparison, and one photo carrying the client's numbered marks and drawings.
Built for the moment it matters

A dropped connection shouldn't cost you a client's trust.

Studios juggle multiple machines, several people on the same job, and sessions that move fast. When sync depends on the device instead of the session, one swap can mean a lost selection, a scramble to rebuild it, and an awkward email to a client who was promised more. Stabble ties sync to the session itself — so it holds, no matter what changes underneath it.

Built for high-volume studios

Everything a busy team needs to stay aligned.

Team selects
Several photographers or retouchers rate and tag the same photo shoot at once, without overwriting each other's picks.
Real-time sync across the team
Everyone connected sees each rating and pick appear across the shoot the instant it happens — no refresh, no lag.
Ratings & color tags, following Capture One conventions
Star ratings and color labels on every frame map onto the conventions your team already uses in Capture One — nothing new to learn.
Side-by-side comparison mode
Weigh near-duplicate frames against each other before locking a final pick.
One-click PDF export
Turn a finished set of selects into a clean, client-ready contact sheet in seconds.
Admin dashboard, all sessions
See every one of your studio's photo sessions, their status, and who's assigned, from a single view.
Publishing history and client access log
See who published what, from which machine — and whether your client has actually opened the gallery, before you chase them.
Preview coverage, checked for you
If an upload stops short, a banner tells you which previews are missing. You never find out from your client.
Watermarked previews, burned in
Set the watermark in your export recipe: it lives in the pixels, so it survives downloads, screenshots and the PDF export.

macOS companion app

Deep integration

The Stabble companion runs alongside Capture One on macOS, syncing sessions in real time as you work. Available for macOS for now.

Client gallery

Any device, any browser

Clients review and select from the gallery on any device — desktop, tablet, or phone — no install required, and unlimited reviewers.

Your work, after the shoot

Nothing is lost when the shoot is over.

Client galleries stay online for as long as your plan keeps them, archive themselves when they expire, and the selection your client made can be rolled back at any point.

Kept for up to 365 days

Every gallery carries its own retention, set by your plan. Nothing disappears while your client is still deciding.

Archived, not lost

An archived gallery stops using your quota and comes back in one click. Past its retention, republish from your session and it is online again.

Roll back a selection

Ratings, color tags and comments are captured when your client sends their selection, and before every republish. One click restores an earlier state.
Trust & security

EU-hosted

All session data lives on infrastructure in Frankfurt, Germany.

GDPR-compliant

Data handling built around GDPR requirements from day one, not retrofitted.

Session-level integrity

Sync state lives with the session, not a single machine — by design.

FAQ

Does Stabble Proof replace Capture One?

No. Stabble runs alongside Capture One as an independent companion. It doesn't replace your editing workflow — it adds a client-proofing layer on top.

I already have Capture One Live. Why would I need Stabble Proof?

Live is built for the moment of the shoot: a collection shared in seconds, included with a Capture One subscription. If that is your whole need, it is enough. Stabble has a live mode of its own — new frames join the gallery on their own as the shoot goes on, a few seconds behind since they pass through your export recipe — and it's built for what happens afterwards: a review that runs for days across several people, and above all the return trip, with ratings, color tags, drawings and numbered markers coming back into your session, on the right crop.

How is this different from a client gallery platform?

Gallery platforms are excellent at delivering, presenting and selling photos, and they cost less than we do. None of them knows your Capture One session exists, though: your client's selects stay in a browser tab, and someone has to reproduce them by hand in your software. That transcription is where mistakes creep in — and nobody notices until retouching.

What happens if I switch machines mid-session?

Session identity travels with the session itself, not the Mac that published it. Switching machines triggers a simple confirmation step — your session and every selection stay exactly where you left them.

Where is my data stored?

On infrastructure hosted in Frankfurt, Germany, within the EU, with data handling built around GDPR requirements from day one.

Can multiple team members work on the same session at once?

Yes. Everyone connected sees ratings, tags, and selects update in real time, with no manual refresh and no risk of overwriting each other's work.

Do my clients need to install anything?

No. The client gallery runs entirely in the browser, on any device — and there is no limit on how many people you share it with.

Is Stabble Proof available on Windows?

Not for now — the Stabble companion app requires macOS. The client gallery, however, works on any platform.

What languages is Stabble Proof available in?

The web app and client gallery are available in English and French, and the gallery automatically follows your client's browser language. The macOS companion app is in English for now — more languages are on the way.

Is there a free trial?

14-day free trial to start exploring, no long-term commitment.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your previews are purged when they reach the retention period of the plan they were published under — 90, 180 or 365 days. Everything else stays for as long as your account exists, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Already using Capture One Live?

Live shows the shoot. Stabble Proof closes the loop.

Live is included with Capture One and it is very good at what it was designed for. We publish live during the shoot as well, a few seconds behind since previews pass through your export recipe. The difference that matters is what happens afterwards.
